PSSI, for the first time since 2014, allowed second division teams to sign foreign players after prohibiting clubs to register them for the past six editions. For this Liga 2 season, clubs were allowed to register two foreign players per team (with one of them coming from a member association of the AFC).[6][102]

The schedule of the competition is as follows.

A total of 28 teams will be drawn into 4 groups of seven teams based on the geographical location of their homebase. The preliminary round will be played in home-and-away round-robin matches.

The top three teams from each group will advance to the championship round. The bottom four teams from each group will advance to the relegation round.

Regulasi pemain asing, pendaftaran pemain, hingga kewajiban baru terkait pemain U-23.

PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) selaku operator kompetisi sepakbola profesional Indonesia telah memberikan surat secara sirkuler kepada tim peserta Liga 1.

Surat tersebut mengenai pelaksanaan kompetisi Liga 1 2023/24 yang rencananya akan dimulai pada Juli mendatang, dengan tim peserta sebanyak 18.

Seperti yang sudah ramai diberitakan, bahwa ada beberapa kebijakan baru pada Liga 1 musim mendatang. Salah satunya adalah penambahan kuota pemain asing.

Melalui surat tersebut, terdapat regulasi pemain untuk musim 2023/24 dalam beberapa poin. Tiap klub boleh memiliki enam pemain asing dengan detail kuota tertentu.

Yang menarik, ada juga regulasi tambahan terkait kewajiban menggunakan pemain muda pada setiap pertandingan, seperti yang disampaikan dalam surat LIB itu.

Perlu digarisbawahi, bahwa regulasi yang disampaikan dalam surat tersebut masih akan dibahas pada Managers Meeting klub Liga 1 2023/24 yang digelar Juni nanti. Sehingga, bisa timbul perubahan dari regulasi yang sudah disampaikan ini.

Eight season of the Liga 3 in Indonesia

Football league season

2023–24 Liga 3 was the eighth season of the Liga 3 under the current name and the ninth season under the current league structure, and the only amateur league football competition in Indonesia. The tournament was organized by Provincial Association of PSSI for the provincial phase and PSSI for the national phase.

Karo United was the champions in the 2021–22 season.

Because Liga 2's previous season along with 2022–23 Liga 3 were abandoned due to a combination of factors with the most notable among them was the Kanjuruhan Stadium disaster,[2] participants of the league remained unchanged from last season.

As the 2022–23 Liga 2 and 2022–23 Liga 3 were abandoned along with the relegation rule which was being scrapped from 2022–23 Liga 1, the league's teams remained unchanged. The following teams changed division after the 2021 season.

Here are some rules for the 2023 season:[3]

A total of 436 teams participated in the provincial phase of 2023–24 Liga 3.

The schedule of the competition is as follows.

These teams will be the representatives from their provincial league to be competing in national phase.

14 provincial associations received free slots to the national phase based on their performance in the 2022–23 season, as not all provincial associations organised competitions for the provincial phase in the 2022–23 season.

A total of 80 teams will be drawn into 16 groups of 5 teams. The preliminary round will be played in single round-robin matches.

16 group winners and 16 runners-up will advance to the second round.

The draw was held online via the official PSSI youtube channel on 26 March 2024.[46] 80 teams divided into 5 zones based on their geographical location. However, 2 teams then decided to withdrew ahead of the national phase.

The following draw mechanism is applied: 1. The 16 host teams are seeded and automatically drawn sequentially into groups A–P. 2. The draw started with zone 1 and ended with zone 5. 3. Teams from the same zone cannot be drawn into the same group.

The 16 teams that advanced from the second round were divided into 4 groups of four teams to play single round-robin matches. Matches in this round are held at neutral venues.

4 group winners and 4 runners-up will advance to the fourth round.

The draw for third round was held on 17 May 2024. The 16 teams were drawn into four groups.

The following draw mechanism is applied: 1. The 16 teams seeded into two pots based on their performance in second round. Pot 1 contains the group winners and pot 2 contains the runners-up teams of the second round. 2. The teams were drawn into 4 groups. Each group contains two teams from pot 1 and two teams from pot 2.

Belum semua klub Liga 1 2023/24 melengkapi slot maksimal legiun impor.

Liga 1 2023/24 sudah bergulir sejak awal Juli. Akan tetapi, belum semua klub melengkapi slot pemain asing untuk mengarungi kompetisi sepakbola kasta teratas Tanah Air tersebut.

Pada Liga 1 2023/24, setiap klub diizinkan maksimal memakai enam pemain asing. Hanya saja, satu di antara dari legiun impor tersebut wajib berpaspor Asia Tenggara.

Penerapan enam pemain asing merupakan regulasi baru. Pada musim sebelumnya, setiap klub diperbolehkan memakai empat legiun impor yang mana satu di antaranya wajib berasal dari Asia.

Persija bakal memainkan 34 pertandingan dengan format kandang dan tandang di regular series Liga 1 2023/24.

Persija Jakarta akan memulai petulangannya di Liga 1 2023/24, dengan menjamu PSM Makassar. Pertandingan regular series tersebut dilangsungkan di Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno (SUGBK), Minggu (2/7).

Regular series akan dimulai pada 1 Juli sampai 28 April 2024. Semua kontestan Liga 1 2023/24 bakal memainkan 34 pertandinga dengan format kandang dan tandang.

Nantinya, empat klub teratas di regular series melaju ke championship series yang dimulai 4-26 Mei 2024. Format yang dipakai adalah knock-out.

Kemenangan menjadi target yang dipatok Persija dalam duel kontra PSM. Pada musim lalu, Macan Kemayoran bermain imbang dan mengalahkan Juku Eja.

Hanya saja, catatan positif tersebut tak bisa dijadikan acuan buat Persija. PSM merupakan juara bertahan yang pastinya sulit untuk dikalahkan.

Selepas menjamu PSM, Persija bakal bertandang ke markas Persikabo 1973. Pertandingan tersebut dijadwalkan berlangsung pada 9 Juli mendatang.

Football tournament season

The 2023–24 Liga 3 Jakarta (also known as 2023–24 Liga 3 Jakarta Governor's Cup for sponsorship reason) is the fourth edition of Liga 3 Jakarta organized by Asprov PSSI Jakarta.[1]

Batavia are the defending champion after winning it in the 2021.[2]

2023–24 Liga 3 Jakarta was attended by 13 teams.

Qualification to the 2024–25 Liga 2

In the knockout round, the 4 teams that advanced from championship round played against each other over two legs on a home-and-away basis. The champions, runner-up and third place of 2023–24 Liga 2 will be promoted to 2024–25 Liga 1.

PSBS won 5–1 on aggregate and promoted to 2024–25 Liga 1.

Semen Padang won 2–1 on aggregate and promoted to 2024–25 Liga 1.

Malut United won 3–2 on aggregate and promoted to 2024–25 Liga 1.

PSBS won 6–0 on aggregate and wins Liga 2.

Football league season

The 2023–24 Liga 2 (Indonesia) (also known as the 2023–24 Pegadaian Liga 2 for sponsorship reasons)[1] was the seventh edition of the Liga 2 under its current name and the 14th edition under its current league structure. PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) are responsible for administrating the league. Plans to change Liga 2's operator were shelved for this season and will be postponed to at least the 2024–2025 season.[2][3]

As Liga 2's previous season and 2022–23 Liga 3 were abandoned due to a combination of factors with the most notable among them being the Kanjuruhan Stadium disaster,[4] participants of the league remain unchanged from last season, 28 teams (an increase of four teams from the 2021–22 Liga 2 season).[5][6] The new season also marked the return of foreign players to the second division of Indonesian football.[6]

The league format was announced on 16 August 2023.[7] The season started on 10 September 2023.[8]

As the 2022–23 Liga 2 and 2022–23 Liga 3 were abandoned along with the relegation rule which was being scrapped from 2022–23 Liga 1, the league's teams remain unchanged. The following teams changed division after the 2021 season.

National Phase (Fourth Round)

The 8 teams that advanced from the Third round were divided into 2 groups of four teams to play single round-robin matches.

2 group winners will advance to the final. The top three teams from each group will be promoted to the 2024–25 Liga 2.
